The Astr is ready for any fast ride or gravel race on any type of terrain. Just like the Astr RS, the Astr has a tire clearance of 47 - 52 mm (52 millimeters for a 1x setup and 47 millimeters for a 2x setup) for more grip and comfort.

Modern performance geometry demands more stability in increasingly rough terrain and at higher speeds. A steering head angle of 71.5 degrees ensures faster steering behavior. The Astr has a steeper seat tube (74 degrees), which improves climbing performance and power transfer compared to a less steep seat tube.

The product developers have kept the chainstay as short as possible to accommodate tires up to 52 millimetres without losing the feeling of responsiveness when accelerating. In addition, the bottom bracket is positioned lower than on bikes designed for comfort, which provides more stability at high speeds. Finally, the head tube is lower, which allows for a more aerodynamic riding position. Taken together, this results in a modern, competitive geometry that is tailored to the ambitious gravel racer.

The addition of the Astr to the product range underlines Ridley's ambition to offer everyone the opportunity to own an Astr: from the ambitious amateur to the dedicated professional.
