A Trekking Bike is as robust and tour-capable as an MTB – suitable for longer, unpaved routes outside the city. Especially for trekking bicycles with suspension fork, lighter terrain is no problem. However, medium-difficulty terrain is more suitable for gravel bikes, and difficult terrain for mountain bikes. Similar to a city bike in comfort, the Trekking Bike allows an upright riding position and the mounting of mudguards and a luggage rack. This makes it not a pure sports bicycle, but also suitable for everyday city use, especially as a step-through frame or in a trapeze frame. For maximum comfort, especially in case of health limitations, larger grocery shopping, or similar needs, a city bike is even more suitable, in some cases also as a city e-bike or women’s e-bike.
