Assembly tips
How to get your bike ready to go

We offer two different shipping methods for bicycles. As standard, the bikes are fully assembled, adjusted, and tested by us. For shipping, only the handlebars are tilted.

Below, we show you how to get your new bike ready to ride after unpacking it. To do this, the following steps are necessary:

Alternatively, you can have your bike delivered pre-assembled. This shipping method is slightly cheaper, but we only recommend it for experienced mechanics. Among other things, you will have to finish assembling the bike, adjust the gears and brakes, and check the wheels and re-center them if necessary.

Straighten the handlebars

Our bikes usually come with Ahead stems. The exception is Brompton bikes, which come with the stem and handlebars already assembled. You will need to loosen the two side screws to be able to turn the handlebars. Depending on the model, you will need a 4 or 5 mm Allen key. Once you have aligned the handlebars in the direction of travel, you must tighten the screws. We recommend using a torque wrench to tighten them. The specified tightening torque is indicated on the stem.
Adjustable stem
Some bikes come with a height-adjustable stem. You can recognize this by the two additional screws on the side. If you unscrew these a few turns, you can adjust the stem. Adjust the stem to the desired height and tighten the screws again. We recommend using a torque wrench to tighten them.
The specified tightening torque is indicated on the stem next to the screws.

Mounting pedals

You will need a 15 mm open-end wrench to install the pedals. Some pedals are marked with “R” and “L” for right and left. If you cannot find any markings, the left pedal is marked with a groove or ribbing on the pedal axle next to the thread. First screw the right pedal into the crank.
ATTENTION: The pedal on the left side has a left-hand thread and is screwed on counterclockwise! Tighten the pedals securely so that they cannot come loose while riding.

Adjusting the seat height

Seat clamp
On most bikes, the seat post is clamped using a hexagon socket or Allen screw (Figure 2). Turn this screw out until you can move the saddle. Then adjust the saddle height, align it straight, and tighten the screw again. We recommend using a torque wrench to tighten it. The specified tightening torque is indicated on the clamp or on the frame next to the screw.
Quick release
The simplest way to adjust the saddle is with a quick release.
Pull the lever away from the frame to open the clamp and adjust the height of the saddle. The saddle can be adjusted up or down.
