The sporty city cross bike. Whether you're going on a multi-day tour with luggage, a weekend trip or your daily commute, the Caleta 6.1 guarantees maximum riding pleasure thanks to its dynamic, lively aluminium frame and lightweight aluminium fork. The Shimano CUES groupset ensures reliable and smooth gear changes on any terrain.
This sporty city cross bike features hub dynamo LED lighting, hydraulic Tektro brakes with 180 mm discs and high-quality 45 mm wide Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres.
Stevens Caleta 6.1 HT is the value entry into the Caleta series, bringing together a lightweight Aluminium 6061 diamond frame and a reliable Shimano CUES U4000 drivetrain. The 2x9 drivetrain with the FC-U4010-2 crankset (46-30 teeth) and the CS-LG300-9 cassette (11-36 teeth) provides 18 gears, covering everyday riding, commuting and leisurely tours; the robust LINKGLIDE CN-LG500 chain ensures smooth, durable gear changes with little maintenance. Safe braking comes from hydraulic Tektro HD-T280 disc brakes with large 180 mm rotors that bite firmly even in the wet. The hub-dynamo LED lighting with the AXA Dynamo 45 headlight (45 lux) and the AXA Juno taillight with standlight function keeps the bike road-safe in any weather. The complete everyday equipment includes a Racktime carrier with SNAP-IT-2.0 system, SKS mudguards, a Pletscher kickstand and a bell. The 45 mm wide, tubeless-ready Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres and a permitted total weight of 140 kg make Caleta 6.1 HT a dependable companion from carrying a child to doing the shopping.
Caleta means “small bay” in Spanish and derives from the coastal village of Caleta de Famara on Lanzarote, where Stevens tests its bikes extensively. The 6.1 is made up of series class 6 and the digit 1, which designates the first version of that tier with a classic chain drivetrain. HT stands for “High Tube” and refers to the diamond frame with a high top tube for direct power transfer. Harbor Cloud, finally, names the subtle blue-grey colour.
As the 6.1, this bike forms the entry into the derailleur models of the Caleta family. Above it sit the 7.1 with a ten-speed and the 8.1 and 9.1 with an eleven-speed CUES drivetrain, with the 9.1 additionally offering the higher-grade U8000 group. Compared with these siblings, the 6.1 relies on the U4000 group, hydraulic Tektro brakes, Oxygen rims and AXA lighting – a solid but more affordable package. From the belt-driven models 5.2 and 7.2 and the Pinion variants 8.2 and 9.2 it differs through the classic chain, which is easy to maintain and repair. Anyone who wants a comfortable low step-through will find the same equipment in the LT version; the diamond frame of the HT version appeals to riders who like a sporty posture and direct power transfer.
Caleta 6.1 HT is a sporty city-cross and trekking bike for leisure, everyday riding and commuting. The upright geometry, the stiff diamond frame and the wide Schwalbe tyres combine comfort with stable smooth-running, while the 18-speed drivetrain offers enough range for most climbs and brisk city riding. With the complete FEQ equipment of lighting, carrier, mudguards and kickstand, the bike is versatile from carrying a child and the weekly shop to multi-day touring with luggage; the permitted total weight of 140 kg allows for substantial loads. Within the Stevens range it differs from the sporty Camino series, which comes without fixed lighting and carrier, as well as from the Tour series (Aviolo, 6X Lite Tour) and the Urban series (Amant, Kalea, Strada). Riders who prefer lower-maintenance drivetrains with belt and hub gear turn to the 5.2 or 7.2; those planning with a gearbox turn to the 8.2 or 9.2.
