The E-Ridley combines sporty performance with state-of-the-art e-bike technology. The Mahle X20 is a compact, proven drive system that delivers a natural riding experience. A torque sensor provides power-proportional assistance only when pedalling – like a tailwind. The latest generation offers 65 Nm of torque and up to 275 W of peak power. Above 25 km/h, the motor runs with virtually no resistance. UDH compatibility enables smooth shifting and easy maintenance.
The E-Grifn offers space for tyres up to 42 millimetres wide and is equipped with a universal derailleur hanger (UDH). The battery can be charged to 80% in just 2 hours and fully charged in around 3.5 hours. The high-quality Shimano GRX groupset offers a wide range of gear ratios for all types of terrain, while also ensuring high durability and reliable performance.
With the E-Grifn, you can go farther, longer, and higher than ever before. We chose the Mahle X20 drive unit because of its exceptionally natural riding feel.
What makes this e-bike truly special is the Mahle X20 drive system. It is a compact and proven system that makes the impossible possible. The assistance is proportional to the power you apply to the pedals, achieved through a torque sensor in the bottom bracket that communicates seamlessly with the software. It feels as if you are always riding with a pleasant tailwind. Every ride becomes a sporty and dynamic experience.
One of the key advantages of the X20 motor is that it operates with virtually no additional mechanical resistance above the 25 km/h limit. The system’s power output gradually tapers off, ensuring a very smooth riding experience and maintaining the bike’s natural feel.
Through the Mahle app, you can easily control and customize the motor using your smartphone. The system even adapts to your riding behavior. With the Mahle X20, you benefit from three levels of assistance, specifically tuned for the Grifn by our product managers in collaboration with Mahle. This “custom mapping” is a typical example of our constant pursuit of perfection.
The geometry of the E-Grifn matches that of the Grifn RS, featuring a removable front derailleur clamp, clearance for tires up to 42 mm, and a UDH hanger. The battery is seamlessly integrated into the frame, ensuring the E-Grifn maintains its sporty appearance.
