Stevens Caleta 9.2 HT is the flagship of the Caleta series, combining a dynamic Aluminium 6061 diamond frame with the high-grade Pinion P1.18 gearbox and a Gates CDC carbon belt. The fully sealed gearbox in the bottom bracket area offers eighteen gears with an enormous 636 percent gear range and is operated via a twist grip; gears engage cleanly regardless of weather, dirt and idle time. The belt runs on CDX pulleys quietly, oil-free and with minimal wear. Braking is handled by the hydraulic Shimano CUES U8000 BR-U8000 disc brakes with 180 mm rotors. First-class visibility comes from the refined Supernova lighting with the M99 DY Pro headlight (200 lux including high beam) and the TL3 Mini taillight with standlight function. The stiff DT Swiss HG 1800 Spline wheels, the Racktime carrier with SNAP-IT-2.0, Kid'n'Carry and QL3.1 system, Curana Apollo mudguards, a kickstand and a bell round off the premium FEQ equipment. What the name Caleta 9.2 HT means

Caleta is the Spanish word for a small, sheltered sea bay and refers to the coastal village of Caleta de Famara on Lanzarote, where Stevens tests its models in depth. The digit 9 marks the upscale equipment line of the Caleta family, and the 2 the second version of that tier with a gearbox and belt drivetrain. HT stands for “High Tube” and denotes the diamond frame with a high top tube for direct power transfer. Coffee Noir, finally, names the elegant dark brown finish.

How Caleta 9.2 HT fits into the Caleta series

Caleta 9.2 HT takes the top position of the series and pairs the Gates carbon belt with the eighteen-speed Pinion P1.18 gearbox – giving it the widest range of all Caleta models. Compared with the 8.2 with the Pinion C1.12 and twelve gears, it adds yet more gear range, and from the derailleur models 6.1, 7.1, 8.1 and 9.1 it differs through the fully sealed gearbox-and-belt drivetrain. It also stands clearly apart from the hub-gear models 5.2 (Nexus 8) and 7.2 (Alfine 11). With the Shimano CUES U8000 brakes, the DT Swiss HG 1800 wheels and the 200-lux Supernova lighting, it is the most high-grade equipped Caleta. The HT version with its high top tube appeals to sporty riders; anyone who prefers a comfortable low step-through chooses the LT version with the identical drivetrain.

Caleta 9.2 HT is a luxurious, almost maintenance-free trekking and everyday bike for demanding commuters, high-mileage riders and touring fans. The sealed Pinion gearbox is impervious to rain, mud and dust, and the Gates belt runs quietly, cleanly and without lubricant – ideal conditions for year-round use in any weather. The balanced geometry, the stiff diamond frame and the wide Schwalbe tyres combine riding fun with smooth running, while the Supernova lighting with high beam and the Racktime carrier equip the bike for evening rides and long tours.
