Stevens 2026 E-COURIER 7.8.1 PLUS HT / Steel ClayStevens launched its first urban bicycles in the late 1990s, alongside its successful mountain and road bike ranges. The earliest models included the Courier and the Elegance series, both designed as dependable everyday rides. Later additions included the Super Flight as a premium city tourer and the City Flight. For the 2026 model year, Stevens reorganised its entire city portfolio, introducing the Amant, Aviolo, Caleta and Kalea series to replace the older models.
Today Stevens distributes a wide array of city bikes across numerous European countries. The manufacturer’s website lists roughly 50 different city configurations – one of the broadest urban line-ups of any German bicycle brand.
Customers can select from various frame geometries (HT, LT, Forma), equipment grades (Luxe, Lite) and drivetrain types (chain, belt, hub gear or derailleur).
The different frame variants allow customisation to suit individual preferences.
The digit sequences consist of the quality tier (first digit, 9=top, 5=entry) and the drivetrain type (second digit, .1=chain, .2=belt/hub). For e-bikes a third digit denotes the generation. Arranged by ascending quality level: 5.2 (entry, belt), 6.1 (mid-range, chain), 6.4.1 (e-bike mid-range, gen 1), 6.5.1 (e-bike mid-range, gen 1), 7.2 (upper tier, belt), 7.4.1 (e-bike upper tier, gen 1), 7.8.1 (e-bike Plus upper tier, gen 1). The year indicators such as 2024, 2025 or 2026 mark the respective model year; Stevens has been employing the current system with quality and drivetrain digits since 2025/2026.
