Everyday life with the STEVENS Amant becomes an experience: the stylish aluminium city bike in Pepper White impresses with its comfortable seating position and confident riding experience. The Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub with Gates Carbon Drive runs efficiently and rust-free. 55 mm Continental Contact Urban tyres offer comfort, smooth running and puncture protection – perfect for the city.
In short: a comfortable and stylish city bike, fully equipped with high-quality components.
As part of the new Amant series, the 5.2 LT delivers urban riding comfort in its most accessible form: the aluminium 6061 frame is shaped as a low-tube variant with a lowered top tube, so mounting is always easy and you sit upright and relaxed. It is powered by the eight-speed, mechanical Shimano Nexus hub gear SG-C6001-8D with a 307 percent range, which provides reliable, straightforward shifts right at the grip. It is paired with the Gates CDN Center Track Carbon Drive belt (Gates S250 CDN crankset with 50 teeth at the front, 24 teeth at the rear), which works rust-free, quietly and almost maintenance-free. Internally routed cables, adjustable dropouts and the bolted seatstay on the drive side are matched to the belt drive and complete the tidy, low-maintenance concept.
The complete everyday equipment includes hydraulic Tektro HD-T280 disc brakes with 2-piston calipers and 180 mm rotors, which always decelerate powerfully and with fine modulation. The 55 mm wide Continental Contact Urban tyres with Safety Pro puncture protection and reflective stripes combine easy rolling, comfort and reliability on urban asphalt. Lighting is provided by the Shutter Precision PL-6 hub dynamo, which feeds the Trelock Light Hammer 80 front light with 80 lux, automatic switch-on and daytime running light as well as the AXA Juno rear light. With the Racktime front carrier and the Racktime STV RC 05 rear rack plus the SNAP IT 2.0 system, shopping, bags and bikepacking gear can be stowed flexibly. Curana Orbit 70 mudguards, a STEVENS Edge kickstand and the STEVENS D85 bell make the city companion complete.
The name Amant is French and means “lover” or “beloved” – an emotional reference to a love of cycling. The digit 5 in the model designation 5.2 stands for the entry class within the Stevens line-up, while the 2 points to the Shimano Nexus hub gear with eight speeds. The letters LT stand for “Low Tube” and denote the step-through frame with a lowered top tube and easy mounting.
Within the Amant series, the 5.2 marks the entry line with the eight-speed Shimano Nexus hub and a 307 percent range, while its sibling models of the 7.2 line feature the eleven-speed Shimano Alfine hub with 409 percent. The 5.2 LT combines this solid drivetrain technology with the low-tube frame shape and thus appeals to riders who value easy mounting. In addition, the 5.2 models are also available as HT with a classic diamond frame and as Forma with comfort-oriented geometry – so the frame shape can be chosen entirely according to preference.
The 5.2 LT is built as a reliable companion for everyday urban life: for the commute, the shopping trip and the daily ride through the neighbourhood. The low step-through makes mounting and dismounting easier during frequent stops, while the eight gears together with the belt drive ensure straightforward, clean progress. Thanks to its two Racktime carriers, the bike can also be used for transport and shorter tours. Alongside the sportier Strada fitness bikes and the trekking-oriented Caleta ranges, the Amant 5.2 LT presents itself as an accessible entry into the Amant world – comfortable, stylish and with high everyday value.
