The Falcn Essential builds on the success of the Falcn RS. The performance geometry and tire clearance of 34 millimetres are identical and the diffuser fork crown and universal derailleur hanger (UDH) have also been retained.

This geometry has been carefully designed by Ridley's product developers with a focus on speed, stability and responsiveness. The head tube length is shorter than the Noah Fast and Helium SLX, which allows for a more aggressive riding position. The bottom bracket is lower because it has been adapted to the possibility of riding with thicker tires, so that the rider retains excellent control.

The differences lie in the round seatpost of the Falcn Essential (in contrast to the D-shaped seatpost of the Falcn RS) and in the carbon composition. Nevertheless, the frame of the Falcn Essential weighs only 990 grams.
