Enable Youtube videosThe Marin Alpine Trail E1 is a hard-hitting e-enduro built for demanding trails, technical descents and seriously steep climbs. The new Alpine Trail E platform combines 160 mm of rear travel with 170 mm up front, modern highly adjustable geometry and an exceptionally powerful Bosch drive system. It's designed for riders who want maximum assistance on the climbs combined with the descending capability of a true enduro bike.
At the heart of the bike is the latest Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor. Delivering up to 120 Nm of torque, 750 watts and 600% support, it provides huge amounts of power for steep and technical climbs. At the same time, Bosch's natural power delivery helps maintain traction and control when tackling challenging uphill terrain.
Marin pairs the powerful motor with a large 800Wh Bosch PowerTube battery. Fully integrated into the downtube, the battery remains removable for convenient charging, transportation or battery swaps. Riders looking for a lighter setup can alternatively fit a compatible Bosch 600Wh battery, while the frame is also prepared for the optional Bosch PowerMore additional battery.
A Bosch Kiox 400C color display is neatly integrated into the top tube, providing important ride and system information without cluttering the cockpit. The Bosch Bluetooth Remote and compatibility with the Bosch eBike Flow app provide additional control and customization options.
The Alpine Trail E1 is built around an all-new Series 4 aluminum frame developed specifically for the latest Bosch CX drive unit. Marin has significantly reduced weight and created a cleaner, slimmer design compared with the previous generation without sacrificing the toughness required from an aggressive e-enduro frame. Weather-sealed internal cable routing, SRAM UDH, Boost rear spacing and extensive chainstay protection complete the trail-ready chassis.
Marin's MultiTrac LT suspension delivers 160 mm of rear travel and is designed to balance progression, support and suppleness. Up front, an X-Fusion Vengeance fork with 170 mm of travel is paired with a custom-tuned X-Fusion H3A air shock at the rear, providing plenty of control and reserves for fast, steep and rough descents.
One of the defining features of the Alpine Trail E platform is its highly adjustable geometry. Swapping the upper headset cup allows the head angle to be altered by ±0.75°, while rear flip chips adjust bottom bracket height and chainstay length. This allows riders to tune the bike for maximum stability on fast descents or a more agile feel on tight and technical trails.
The Alpine Trail E1 comes standard with a mixed-wheel setup featuring a 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear wheel. The larger front wheel provides stability and excellent rollover performance, while the smaller rear wheel keeps the bike agile and provides additional freedom of movement on steep descents.
A Shimano CUES LINKGLIDE 10-speed drivetrain is purpose-built to handle the high loads generated by an eMTB. Wider tooth profiles and the durable LINKGLIDE design are engineered to cope with serious motor torque, while the 11–48T cassette provides a broad gear range for demanding climbs.
Powerful TRP DHR EVO Comp four-piston brakes with 200 mm rotors front and rear provide confident stopping performance. Excellent modulation and effective heat management help maintain control on long, steep and technical descents.
Tubeless-compatible Marin aluminum rims with a 29 mm internal width are paired with premium Schwalbe Magic Mary Gravity Pro Radial tires. The 29 x 2.5" front tire uses the ultra-grippy Ultra Soft compound, while the 27.5 x 2.5" rear uses the Soft compound for a balanced combination of traction and durability.
A standard TranzX dropper post with size-specific travel from 150 to 200 mm, short 35 mm stem and wide Marin trail cockpit complete a component package designed around aggressive riding.
The Marin Alpine Trail E1 is a powerful entry into Marin's full-power e-enduro platform. Above all, the combination of the high-output Bosch Performance Line CX motor, large removable 800Wh battery and capable 160/170 mm suspension makes it an eMTB for riders who don't want to compromise on climbing power or descending performance.
