The Caleta 7.1 is a sporty city tourer with an aluminium frame in Polar Grey and a sturdy fork. The Shimano CUES 2x10 gear system offers reliable performance. A luggage rack and bright LED lights make the bike suitable for everyday use – ideal for commuting, touring and leisure.
This sporty bike also features Tektro hydraulic brakes, an ergonomic cockpit for long tours and universal Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres.
Stevens Caleta 7.1 HT builds on a lightweight Aluminium 6061 frame in a classic diamond shape and teams it with the Shimano CUES U6000 group. The 2x10 drivetrain with a 46/30 crankset, LINKGLIDE cassette and LINKGLIDE chain offers 20 gears and is engineered for long service life and smooth, low-wear shifting – ideal for people who ride their bike every day. The powerful Tektro Volans disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, a four-piston caliper up front, brake securely even with luggage aboard. For visibility, a hub dynamo in the front wheel drives the Trelock Lighthammer 80 headlight with 80 lux LED output and the B+M Xeltec mini taillight with standlight function. The FEQ equipment also includes a Racktime carrier with SNAP-IT-2.0, Kid'n'Carry and QL3.1 system, mudguards, a kickstand and a bell. Along with the 45 mm wide, tubeless-ready Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres with reflective stripes and a permitted total weight of 140 kg, this adds up to a fully equipped everyday bike that takes shopping, a child seat and multi-day tours in its stride.
A landscape lies behind the name: caleta is Spanish for a small bay and refers to Caleta de Famara on Lanzarote, where Stevens puts its models through their paces. The number sequence 7.1 states series class 7, the middle equipment tier of the family, and with the one the first version of that tier. The letters HT stand for “High Tube” and denote the diamond frame with a high step-over. The colour name Polar Grey rounds off the name by pointing to the light grey finish.
Within the Caleta family, 7.1 HT forms the golden middle of the derailleur models: it sits between the more affordable 6.1 HT and the higher-grade 8.1 HT. Compared with 6.1 HT, which runs CUES U4000 with 2x9 gears, 7.1 HT moves up a tier with the CUES U6000 group and 2x10 gears, topped off by powerful Tektro Volans hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors. Above 7.1 HT, the 8.1 HT and 9.1 add even more range with their finely stepped 2x11 drivetrains, while the 5.2 and 7.2 models rely on low-maintenance belt-driven hub gears and the 8.2 and 9.2 bring the belt-driven Pinion gearbox into play. Every Caleta model comes in two frame forms: HT with a diamond frame and LT with a step-through trapezoid frame.
Caleta 7.1 HT is a light city tourer for everyday life: commuting to work, weekend trips, shopping and even multi-day tours with luggage are all handled with ease – thanks to the lively geometry, the bright hub-dynamo LED lighting, the carrier with SNAP-IT-2.0 system and the 45 mm wide Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres. With a permitted total weight of 140 kg, it takes a child seat and shopping bags in its stride. Within the Stevens range it stands apart from sportier series such as Camino, which do without a carrier and lighting, as well as from the Tour series (Aviolo, 6X Lite Tour) with its stronger touring focus and the Urban series (Amant, Kalea, Strada) centred on the city. Riders who prefer an easy step-through choose the LT version, while the HT diamond frame appeals to anyone who likes a classic way of mounting.
