Hektor is a track bike with carbon belt drive that is suitable for city use. And fixed gear is the essence of cycling: full control, maximum reduction and maximum efficiency. The particularly stiff frame and special geometry ensure the most direct and agile riding experience of all Schindelhauer bikes.
For Hektor, velodromes and criteriums are the disciplines of choice. The frame is based on a triple-butted aero tube set and is particularly appreciated by Team Schindelhauer Gates for its high rigidity and good handling.

Enable Youtube videosHEKTOR in garnet red is the most uncompromising expression of everything Schindelhauer stands for: a track bike with an extremely stiff base and purist equipment. The triple-butted aero tubing in aluminium (AL6061-T6), with elegantly smoothed welds, is guided by a straight carbon monocoque fork, forming a frame that carries every ounce of effort forward with almost no loss. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt takes care of the drive – running over 60 teeth at the front and a 21-tooth sprocket with track threading at the rear, dry, clean and entirely without lubrication. Because the sprocket is firmly connected to the hub, a rigid gear results in which cadence determines the entire pace: pedalling accelerates, resisting slows down, and every revolution keeps the rider directly connected to the bike. The flip-flop rear hub keeps space on its second side ready for an alternative ratio. Light low-flange hubs, Alexrims CX30 rims, Sapim Race spokes and Continental Ultrasport III tyres keep the wheelset light and stiff. Internal cable routing, the Schindelhauer Belt Port and an integrated seat clamp complete the tidy look; optional Urban Pedals with matching pedal straps round off the concept.
The model is named after a hero of antiquity: Hector, the mightiest warrior of Troy, whose name stands for bravery and fighting spirit in legend. It is exactly this presence that the bike is meant to radiate when it lines up on the oval. The suffix Fixed Gear, in turn, is the technical shorthand for the drivetrain: a rigid gear working without a freewheel, in which the sprocket rotates directly with the hub and passes the rider's full leg power continuously to the rear wheel.
The HEKTOR series consists of two sister models that share the same foundation: identical aero frame, the same carbon fork, the matching belt solution and the same internal cable routing. While the Singlespeed version integrates a freewheel along with a Tektro brake system, the Fixed Gear variant relies on the most direct form of power transmission without interruption. The two complement each other perfectly: the Fixed Gear offers the maximum sense of connection, while the Singlespeed variant adds extra everyday convenience to the package.
On the velodrome and at criterium races, HEKTOR can play out its full range of skills: stiff geometry, low weight and the low-friction belt make every acceleration immediately noticeable. The rigid concept also brings a special appeal to city traffic, because pace and braking behaviour are controlled entirely through the legs. Within the Schindelhauer model range, HEKTOR thus occupies the sporty track segment, while Wilhelm, Hannah and Siegfried stand for the comfortable fields of everyday use, trekking and gravel. Fixed-gear fans find their ideal base here, while the Singlespeed version addresses everyone who appreciates added comfort.
