Ridley E-ASTR Rival XPLR AXS 1x13 / UD Carbon / SilverRidley's first electric performance bike was the E-GRIFN, launched in spring 2024. It is powered by the Mahle X20 system with up to 250 watts of support and torque comparable to a 55 Nm mid-motor. The E-GRIFN is available as a road and gravel variant, making it versatile in use. Just a few months later, in summer 2025, the E-ASTR followed with the TQ HPR40 drive (200 watts, 40 Nm) – the electric version of the successful ASTR RS and a pure gravel bike with performance-oriented geometry. In late 2025, the E-KANZO ADVENTURE with Bosch CX motor completed the gravel trio, targeting bikepackers and adventurers specifically.
At Radfieber, two Ridley gravel eBike model series are currently available. The E-GRIFN is offered in eight different equipment variants – from mechanical 105 to electronic Rival XPLR 1x13. The E-ASTR is available in four variants with Apex XPLR AXS and Rival XPLR AXS. Prices start at €5,499 for the E-GRIFN and go up to €8,199 for the E-ASTR. Worldwide, Ridley distributes its gravel eBikes through authorized dealers in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia and has delivered a total of several thousand eBikes since 2024.
With Ridley gravel eBikes, customers can choose between two drive systems: Mahle X20 (E-GRIFN) with up to 250 watts and a rear hub motor concept, or TQ HPR40 (E-ASTR) with 200 watts and an ultra-compact mid-motor. Additional options include groupsets (Shimano 105, 105 Di2, GRX 600, GRX 800, SRAM Apex AXS, Rival XPLR AXS), wheelsets, and colors. The E-GRIFN accommodates tires up to 42 mm, the E-ASTR up to 52 mm. Both models use high-quality carbon frames, are customizable via the Ridley configurator, and are optionally available with a range extender.
E-ASTR – The electric version of the ASTR RS with TQ HPR40 drive (200 watts, 40 Nm). A pure gravel bike for high speed and unpaved terrain with tire clearance up to 52 mm, sporty race geometry, and under 12 kg total weight. Price from €7,199.
E-GRIFN – Ridley's first e-performance bike with the Mahle X20 system (250 watts, 55 Nm torque equivalent). Versatile on and off the road, tire clearance up to 42 mm. Available as both road and gravel variant. Price from €5,499.
Commonalities: Both models are performance-oriented e-bikes with discreet motor integration that preserve the riding feel of a traditional gravel bike. They use high-quality carbon frames, are customizable via the Ridley configurator, and are positioned in the premium price segment. Differences: The E-GRIFN uses the Mahle X20 rear hub motor, while the E-ASTR uses the TQ HPR40 mid-motor. The E-GRIFN is available as a road and gravel variant, whereas the E-ASTR is exclusively a gravel bike. Tire clearance is significantly larger on the E-ASTR at 52 mm compared to 42 mm on the E-GRIFN. The drive concept (rear hub vs. mid-motor) noticeably affects the riding feel and center of gravity.
