Enable Youtube videosThe appearance could hardly be hotter: in garnet red, the WILHELM XVIII P-LINE shows not only colour but also class. The deep red custom bicycle combines the CNC-milled Pinion P-Line with 18 gears and a housing that merges seamlessly into the frame design. With a gear range of 636 per cent, the model belongs to the top class among urban bicycles – as a modern statement in everyday urban life, driven by the low-maintenance Gates carbon belt.
Developed by former Porsche engineers, Pinion stands for the top class among bicycle transmissions. Thanks to the Pinion principle, all 18 gears can also be shifted reliably while stationary, and every gear conveys the directness of a singlespeed ratio. The central gearbox position balances the bicycle optimally; the low bottom bracket and long head and top tubes create a sporty, yet tour-ready seating position. Deceleration is handled by the hydraulic Shimano Alfine S7000 disc brake, and the sporty Brooks Swallow Classic keeps things comfortable in the saddle. Mudguards, front and rear racks and optional lighting can be added thanks to mounting points; the permissible total weight is 120 kilogrammes.
WILHELM is the custom bicycle system from Schindelhauer, built entirely according to your wishes. XVIII stands in Roman numerals for the eighteen and names the highest number of gears in the Wilhelm family. P-LINE denotes the CNC-milled gearbox line from Pinion, developed by former Porsche engineers and regarded as the top class among bicycle transmissions. The colour addition describes the strong red paintwork that gives the model its present character.
The WILHELM XVIII is the technical flagship of the P-Line range: with 18 gears it achieves a range of 636 per cent and thus the largest spread of all Wilhelm variants. While the IX (9 gears) and the XII (12 gears) ride more compactly in the same P-Line construction, the XVIII offers the finest gear graduation for almost any situation. CNC-milled components, the sporty Swallow Classic saddle and the Pinion principle make it the bicycle for everyone who wants no compromise – all in a striking, powerful colour finish.
The WILHELM XVIII P-LINE appeals to everyone looking for a sporty, elegant urban bicycle with maximum gear selection – from the daily commute to long weekend tours with luggage. The 636 per cent range softens steep climbs, and the carbon belt keeps maintenance and wear low. Mudguards, racks and lighting make the bicycle suitable for everyday use – all framed by a frame built entirely according to your wishes. Since Schindelhauer builds in small quantities, an early test ride at our store is worthwhile.
