The WILHELM with Shimano Di2 shifting is Schindelhauer's custom bicycle for the city – sporty, agile and equipped with contemporary electronics. In sahneweiß, the warm cream tone brings calm into the urban bustle and combines the understated look with the electronic Shimano Alfine hub gear: eleven gears, shifted at the touch of a button, faster and more reliably than a mechanical system – durability and resistance lie clearly higher.

The triple-butted AL6061-T6 frame with internally routed cables stays tidy even in the light dress; the low bottom bracket and long head and top tubes create a sporty, tour-ready seating position. The Gates carbon belt (39 teeth at the front, 28 at the rear) runs over the Shimano Alfine Hollowtech II crank, and braking is handled by the hydraulic Shimano Alfine S7000 disc brake. Continental GP Urban Classic tyres in 35-622, the Satori Noirette bar with Ergo leather grips, a Brooks leather saddle and CNC-milled urban pedals complete the equipment. Depending on the size, the weight is 12.0 to 12.6 kilogrammes; mudguards, front and rear racks and optional lighting can be mounted. The maximum total weight is 120 kilogrammes.

What Wilhelm, Cream White and Di2 stand for

Wilhelm is Schindelhauer's custom bicycle line, built individually according to your wishes. Sahneweiß describes the light, warm cream tone of the paintwork – friendly rather than glaring. Di2 stands for the electronic Shimano shifting: eleven gears, low-maintenance and precise in the protected rear hub.

Why light and electronic go well together

A clean, light bicycle demands an equally well-kept drive – and this is exactly where the Di2 plays to its strengths: no front derailleur, no adjustment, no lubricants on the frame. The eleven gears sit encapsulated in the hub, the belt stays clean. This way, the Wilhelm still looks just as tidy after many kilometres as on the first day.
