Enable Youtube videosSporty, individual and innovative – that is the standard of the P-Line series from Schindelhauer, and exactly what this WILHELM stands for: The CNC-milled Pinion P-Line makes it the first choice for particularly high demands. The deep, matt paintwork in garnet red gives the custom bicycle a present, dynamic appearance. Worldwide, Pinion is regarded as the top class among bicycle transmissions – a promise that is fulfilled here gear by gear (nine in all).
The 9 evenly spaced gears produce a total gear range of 364 per cent and take you over almost any hill; every gear conveys the directness of a singlespeed ratio. The central gearbox position keeps the bicycle optimally balanced; the low bottom bracket and long head and top tubes ensure a sporty, yet tour-ready seating position. All cables are routed internally so that the purist design remains untouched. The Gates carbon belt provides propulsion, deceleration is handled by the hydraulic Shimano Alfine S7000 disc brake. In the saddle sits the sporty Brooks Swallow Classic, and the ergonomic Schindelhauer leather grips sit well in the hand. Mudguards, front and rear racks and optional lighting can be added thanks to mounting points – the permissible total weight is 120 kilogrammes.
WILHELM is the custom bicycle system from Schindelhauer, built entirely according to your wishes. IX stands in Roman numerals for the nine and names the number of gears. P-LINE denotes the CNC-milled gearbox line from Pinion, regarded as the top class among bicycle transmissions. The colour addition names the paintwork that gives the model its striking, sporty character.
In the Wilhelm family, the P-Line variants stand for particularly high demands: CNC-milled Pinion gearboxes, sporty Brooks Swallow Classic saddles and a finer gear graduation than in the C-Line. The IX is the compact entry into the top class – with nine gears and a 364 per cent total gear range for city traffic and tours. Anyone wanting more range goes for the XII or the XVIII, which are also available in P-Line specification. But even the IX combines the legendary directness of the Pinion principle with playful everyday suitability – the gears can be shifted reliably both while stationary and on the move.
The WILHELM IX P-LINE is aimed at everyone looking for a sporty, individually built bicycle with the highest shifting technology – and who do not want to give up everyday comfort. The 364 per cent gear range masters climbs as well as lively city rides; the low-maintenance carbon belt and the high-quality equipment ensure lasting enjoyment. Because the Berlin manufactory builds in small quantities, anyone interested should arrange their test ride early – we will be happy to advise you personally.
