Sporty, individual and innovative – this is exactly how Schindelhauer defines its city custom bicycle series, and the WILHELM IX C-LINE in cream-white is a particularly refined example of it. The light, warm paintwork gives the top model from Berlin a calm, elegant appearance that blends wonderfully into bright urban environments. Beneath the restrained colour works a heart of the top class: the Pinion C-Line with nine evenly graduated gears, which belongs to the smallest and at the same time most powerful central gearboxes and is perfectly tuned for use in the city – for your city riding at the highest level.

With 364 per cent total range, the nine gears take you over almost any hill, and thanks to the central gearbox position the bicycle is perfectly balanced – every gear feels like the directness of a singlespeed ratio. As is typical for the Wilhelm principle, the gears can also be shifted safely while stationary. A low bottom bracket as well as long head tubes and top tubes create a sporty, yet tour-ready seating position; internally routed cables preserve the purist design. The Gates Carbon belt (39 teeth at the front, 28 at the rear) drives the fine-toothed rear hub; braking is handled by the hydraulic Shimano Alfine S7000 disc brake with 160-millimetre rotors. The classic Brooks B17 saddle and ergonomic Schindelhauer leather grips underline the refined character. With a permissible total weight of 120 kilogrammes and mounting points for mudguards, front and rear racks and optional lighting, the Wilhelm remains flexibly usable in everyday life.

The idea behind WILHELM IX C-LINE

WILHELM bears the name of Schindelhauer's top model, which is fully tailored to the rider's wishes. IX is the Roman nine and counts the gears of the gearbox. C-LINE marks the compact central gearbox series from Pinion that is calibrated specifically for the requirements of urban riding. Finally, cream-white describes the mild, bright paintwork that gives the bicycle its distinguished, reserved look.
