Pure aluminum, sporty, and stripped down to the essentials—Viktor embodies a minimalist urban bike lifestyle. The maintenance-free Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack belt replaces the traditional chain, ensuring a smooth, clean, and virtually silent ride. Thanks to the versatile flip-flop hub, Viktor can be ridden as both a fixed-gear and a single-speed bike—perfect for fast rides in urban environments.

The Shimano Alfine crankset harmonizes perfectly with the belt drive system, delivering not only outstanding performance but also adding a striking visual accent. The drivetrain thus defines the bike’s characteristic look and underscores Viktor’s clean, minimalist design language.

Viktor in alu pur: raw aluminium, belt drive and a single gear for the city

The alu pur version shows what it is made of: its 6061 aluminium frame carries its natural, brushed surface on the outside, while triple-butted aero tubing, forged horizontal dropouts, a seat clamp integrated into the seat tube and internally routed cables do the work behind it, with smoothed welds tying the shapes together. The Tange Seiki headset, straight aluminium fork and handlebar-stem combination welded as one unit give the front end a calm, precise sense of direction. The drivetrain follows the principle of simplicity: Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack transfers power with 60 teeth at the front, 22 teeth at the rear and a belt of 115 links into exactly one gear – either freewheeling or fixed, depending on which side of the flip-flop hub carries the belt cog. Shimano Alfine Hollowtech II crank and BSA bottom bracket mesh cleanly, while the Crocodile tensioning system together with the patented Belt Port keeps the belt at the right tension and allows a quick change.

Viktor is also equipped with Tektro brakes (R317 at the front, FL750 at the rear), wheels built on a high flange front hub and a flip-flop rear hub with Alexrims CX30 rims and Sapim Race spokes – laced radially at the front and three-cross at the rear – plus Continental Grand Prix tyres. Mounting points for mudguards and a front luggage rack are on board, and lighting can be added optionally. This turns a radically clear city bike into an everyday companion for the ride to work, shopping and trips with luggage; at around 8.4 kilograms it remains a true lightweight that you will happily carry up a flight of stairs.

The origin of the name Viktor

The model name is based on the old first name Viktor, which owes its life to Latin: "victor" simply means "the winner", derived from the verb "vincere" – to win, to overcome. With a "K" the name appears in its Germanised form, common in German-speaking regions, giving the bike a striking and unmistakable spelling. Names in this family – timeless, historic first names – describe attitude rather than equipment: Viktor embodies focus and superiority in the streetscape of the city, for a bike that gets by with a single ratio.

Viktor alu pur among its sister models

The alu pur version shares frame, geometry and technology with the matte black variant – the difference lies in the visible materiality: here aluminium stays in its natural, silvery brushed condition, there a black anodised layer covers the surface. Beyond that colour question, Viktor sits between Siegfried and Hektor: with its curved fork, raw frame finish and leather details Siegfried emphasises a classic, cultivated appearance, Hektor is delivered either fixed or with a freewheel and trimmed entirely for lightness, while Viktor hands the choice between both drivetrains to the rider via the flip-flop hub and, with mounting points for mudguards and a front rack plus optional lighting, offers the widest everyday versatility of the three.

What Viktor is made for – and how it stands apart

The field of use is the daily ride through town: commuting, accelerating at traffic lights, shopping, longer stretches in traffic – situations where a single gear, direct power transfer and a low-maintenance drivetrain come into their own. Siegfried covers the same ground with an elegant, classic touch, Hektor is the uncompromising option for anyone seeking maximum reduction; Viktor delivers the sporting answer with its short wheelbase, straight fork and expandable equipment. The wider model world knows different frame forms: while Viktor is consistently built as a diamond frame, e-bike models such as Antonia additionally use a low wave frame – the right choice when easy step-through access is wanted. Arthur and Antonia also carry the same design language into the electrically assisted segment, whereas Viktor stays committed to pure muscle power.
