In the alu pur version, everything Road was built for stays visibly uncovered: the AL6061-T6 frame with its triple-butted Aero-Shape tube set shows its untreated aluminium surface, ground-smooth welds run cleanly into the tubes, and the forged dropout merges into the frame line without visible edges. Inside sits the Crocodile tensioning system with the Belt Port, which makes the opening in the dropout disappear and turns changing the belt into a one-motion job; internal cable routing and the integrated seat clamp keep the line undisturbed. The curved aluminium fork compresses briefly, over the Schindelhauer drop bar with Brooks leather tape and the Brooks Swift saddle the seating position stretches into a sporty, slightly aggressive posture, while Alexrims CX30 rims with radially and three-cross laced Sapim Race spokes, Tektro R539 brakes with TRP RRL levers and the narrow Continental Grand Prix Classic tyres (25-622) hold the reserves for fast kilometres. Mounting points for mudguards and a front rack stay open for everyday needs, and 8.9 kilograms of weight keep the package manageable.

Fixed or freewheel – the flip-flop hub makes both ways possible

One gear, and exactly the right one for fast riding without detours: the Gates Carbon Drive CDX (60 teeth front, 22 teeth rear, 115 links) lays pedal power in a straight line onto the rear wheel, with no chain, oil or derailleur. The flip-flop rear hub carries two sprockets for that: freewheel for relaxed coasting and resting the legs, and after turning the wheel around, the fixed gear for a direct connection between pedals and rear end, where every movement arrives immediately. The Shimano Alfine Hollowtech II crank on the BSA bottom bracket forms the solid heart, the high-flange front hub and the generously laced spokes provide the necessary stiffness, and the TRP RRL road levers meter braking finely from any grip position. Belt, hub, wheel and narrow tyre interact in a way that keeps the drivetrain quiet while still keeping up with any pace.

Siegfried and Road: two words, one attitude

The first part of the name "Siegfried" grows from the Old High German elements "sieg" and "fried" – victory and peace, the one who wins every trial and brings calm in the end. That same composure carries the bike, because it rides unassumingly yet unstoppably through the day without getting loud. "Road" adds the direction: street, asphalt, the line that turns a city lap into a fast lap. Together the two parts describe a road bike feeling in city clothes – posture before equipment, motion before decoration.

The limited "Siegfried super refined" edition, in turn, is a handcrafted run of five in which every weld was ground and polished by hand. The field of use for Road alu pur begins where everyday life and sport overlap: the way to the office becomes relaxed training, the ride home a lap with tempo, and in between sit errands and spontaneous stretches that the drop bar answers playfully easily. The narrow tyres roll with little resistance, the belt runs almost silently – no chain rattle in the morning, no oil on the trousers, hardly any maintenance, and still the bike reacts to every pedal movement immediately. Thanks to the flip-flop function the riding style can change at any time, so the commute becomes a controlled fixie lap one moment and relaxed gliding the next.
