Ludwig - The Sport Classic

Technically innovative and flexible – Ludwig is the multifaceted classic for everyday use as well as for weekend tours. On the country road, on hills or in the city, this all-rounder was developed for cyclists who want flexibility and performance, and is ideally matched with the Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub gear. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack toothed belt is a powerful, smooth-running and reliable drive that is maintenance-free compared to a conventional chain. The timeless design is rounded off by the Brooks leather saddle and hand-stitched leather grips.

Sporty doesn't mean uncomfortable. With the Ludwig geometry, Schindelhauer has combined both. The geometry of the uncompromising Schindelhauer singlespeed frame served as the basis, which has been carefully adapted. The bottom bracket now sits slightly lower, the head tube and fork are slightly longer. As a result of the thoughtful adjustments, Schindelhauer achieved a moderate compensation of the saddle height. Together with the extended top tube, a relaxed, tour-suitable seating position has been achieved with the Ludwig.

Peace of Mind

Instead of a conventional chain, the maintenance-free Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack toothed belt ensures a light, silent and fast ride. For extended tours with climbs or brisk tailwind passages, the Shimano Alfine 8- or 11-speed hub gear is a perfect complement.

Shimano Alfine 8-/11-Speed Gearing

With a range of 307% on the 8-speed hub or 409% on the 11-speed hub, it offers enough scope for any terrain. The pawl-free freewheel is whisper-quiet and an ideal complement to the silent toothed belt.

Alfine Components

The hollow axle of the Alfine crank, together with the external bottom brackets, ensures its contribution to the rigidity that the toothed belt requires – at the same time, as a visual highlight, it significantly shapes the character of the bike.
