Hektor is a track bike with carbon belt drive. Suitable for everyday use with freewheel and Tektro brake system, this bike is perfect for integrating the performance of the race track into your urban lifestyle. The particularly stiff frame and special geometry ensure the most direct and agile riding experience of all Schindelhauer bikes.
The velodrome and criterium are Hektor's favourite disciplines. The frame is based on a triple-butted aero tube set and is particularly appreciated by Team Schindelhauer Gates for its high rigidity and good handling.

Enable Youtube videosThe heart of HEKTOR is a triple-butted aero frame set in aluminium (AL6061-T6), whose welds are meticulously smoothed to create an almost seamless, elegant silhouette. The straight carbon monocoque fork complements this base to form an enormously torsionally rigid package that noticeably turns the energy of every pedal stroke into speed. The bike is driven by the Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt, which works together with the Crocodile tensioning system in the forged horizontal dropouts: oil-free, resistant to dirt and therefore ideal for everyday use. HEKTOR rolls on a single gear – the belt transfers power from 60 teeth at the front to 22 teeth at the rear, entirely without a derailleur and with minimal friction loss. It is precisely this fixed ratio that harmonises with the sporty geometry and makes every ride immediate and direct. Cables routed inside the top tube and the Schindelhauer Belt Port, through which the belt runs internally through the frame, create a tidy appearance; an integrated seat clamp blends in discreetly. The Tektro brake system (R526, TRP RRL) and Continental Ultrasport III tyres on Alexrims CX30 rims with Sapim Race spokes complete the build. Those who wish can add Urban Pedals and matching pedal straps from Schindelhauer, creating a flexible platform between the race track and everyday riding.
The model is named after Hector, the brave prince of Troy from Greek mythology – a symbol of courage, steadfastness and perseverance. These virtues are reflected in the character of the bike, which shows toughness and endurance on the track as well as in the city. The second element of the name, Singlespeed, describes the technical nature of the drivetrain: a single, firmly defined gear that needs no shifting and passes the rider's effort through the belt to the rear wheel without interruption.
The HEKTOR line is offered in two forms. The Fixed Gear build is focused entirely on the velodrome, while the Singlespeed version shown here runs with a freewheel. Frame construction, the aero tubing, the smoothed welds, the internal cable routing and the Gates Carbon Drive belt are identical on both; the differences appear in the drivetrain and the braking package. The Singlespeed version combines the freewheel with the Tektro brake system (R526, TRP RRL) and thus adds a touch of everyday practicality on the road to the direct riding feel. This way it shares the sporting core of the line while setting its own, city-friendly accent.
HEKTOR is designed for the velodrome and criterium, where stiffness, low weight and the direct power transfer of the belt unfold their full effect. In the Singlespeed version with a freewheel and Tektro brakes, the very same performance can be experienced in everyday city life – nimble, agile and with a striking presence. Within the Schindelhauer range, HEKTOR thus occupies the sporty track segment with belt drive and sets itself apart from more comfort-oriented lines such as Wilhelm, Hannah or Siegfried, which focus on city, trekking and gravel. Those looking for the race track will find what they need in the Fixed Gear build; those who value the blend of sport and urban use choose the Singlespeed version.
