Hektor is a track bike with carbon belts that, in its single-speed version, is suitable for everyday use: fitted with a freewheel and a Tektro braking system, it brings the performance of the racetrack straight into your urban daily life. The exceptionally stiff frame and precisely tuned geometry ensure the most direct and agile riding experience of all Schindelhauer bikes.
Its roots lie in the velodrome and criterium racing. The frame is based on a triple-butted aero tube set and is particularly valued by Team Schindelhauer Gates for its high stiffness and superb handling.

Enable Youtube videosIn the chameleon finish, HEKTOR changes colour while the drivetrain stays constant: the triple-butted aluminium frame (AL6061-T6) with smoothed welds and the straight carbon monocoque fork form the stable base. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt transfers power from 60 teeth at the front to 22 teeth at the rear (9-spline) and runs quietly, dry and little prone to dirt. The Singlespeed version relies on a freewheel, allowing the bike to coast freely, as well as on the Tektro brake system with TRP RRL levers for safe deceleration. Exactly one gear ensures the direct drive. Low-maintenance details such as internal cable routing, the Belt Port and an integrated seat clamp preserve the clean silhouette; Continental Ultrasport III tyres on Alexrims CX30 rims with Sapim Race spokes complete the wheelset. Urban Pedals with pedal straps can be fitted on request.
The name HEKTOR refers to the Trojan hero whose bravery is still legendary today. It is precisely this ability – to be demanding yet controlled – that the track bike is meant to embody on the oval. The suffix Singlespeed explains the drivetrain philosophy: exactly one gear ratio, no shifting system, but maximum directness and a calm, tidy bicycle in the tradition of the simplest of all designs.
Within the HEKTOR series, there are two ways to interpret the same chassis. Both variants use identical aero tubing, the same carbon fork and the same Gates belt. The Singlespeed version grants freer rolling behaviour through the freewheel and extra traffic safety through the Tektro brake system; the Fixed Gear version holds on to the rigid drivetrain and leaves all control with the rider. Each build thus appeals to its own community of riding enthusiasts.
From the velodrome, via criterium races, to the city street, HEKTOR carries the sporting DNA of all Schindelhauer models. With a freewheel and Tektro brakes, the Singlespeed version also suits the daily commute and relaxed rides without losing its racing character. While Wilhelm, Hannah and Siegfried are at home in the comfortable city, trekking and gravel segments, HEKTOR remains the sporty track candidate of the brand. The Fixed Gear build delights purists, while the Singlespeed variant convinces riders who want both everyday practicality and speed.
