Hektor is a track bike with carbon belt drive that is suitable for city use. And fixed gear is the essence of cycling: full control, maximum reduction and maximum efficiency. The particularly stiff frame and special geometry ensure the most direct and agile riding experience of all Schindelhauer bikes.
For Hektor, velodromes and criteriums are the disciplines of choice. The frame is based on a triple-butted aero tube set and is particularly appreciated by Team Schindelhauer Gates for its high rigidity and good handling.

Enable Youtube videosHEKTOR takes the track bike idea in a particularly low-maintenance direction with the Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt. The triple-butted aero frame set in aluminium (AL6061-T6) with smoothed welds teams up with the straight carbon monocoque fork to form an extremely torsionally rigid package that loses almost no pedalling energy. The belt drive links 60 teeth at the front with a 113-link band and transfers the entire power to the rear wheel via a 21-tooth sprocket with track threading – with no chain, no oil and no additional mechanical effort. In a fixed gear, the sprocket is bolted directly to the hub, so every pedal stroke immediately creates both drive and a way to control speed: the rider governs pacing and deceleration directly with their legs. On top of that comes the flip-flop rear hub, which allows a second gear ratio to be fitted on the opposite side and switched as needed. Schindelhauer low-flange hubs, Alexrims CX30 rims and Sapim Race spokes form a light, stiff pair of wheels on which Continental Ultrasport III tyres run. Internal cable routing, the Belt Port for the belt and an integrated seat clamp keep the frame tidy; those who wish can equip the bike with Urban Pedals and matching pedal straps.
The name refers to the most famous warrior of Greek legend: Hector, the bravest hero of Troy. He was regarded as fearless, disciplined and almost invincible in the heat of battle – qualities the bike aims to mirror on the track. The second element of the name, Fixed Gear, describes the technology of the drivetrain: a rigid gear firmly connected to the rear wheel, in which the sprocket runs along without a freewheel and transmits the full muscular force unfiltered.
Schindelhauer offers HEKTOR in two variants with different setups. Both share the aero tubing, the carbon front end, the smoothed welds, the internal cable routing and the Gates Carbon Drive. The Fixed Gear version relies on the most direct experience of all: sprocket and hub form an inseparable unit, leaving the riding behaviour entirely in the hands of the rider. The Singlespeed variant equips the same foundation with a freewheel and a Tektro brake system, opening up an even more everyday-friendly use. Both thus share the sporting base but clearly differ in their individual riding character.
HEKTOR is built for the signature disciplines of velodrome and criterium, where the immense stiffness of the frame, the light carbon fork and the direct belt ratio fully unfold their strengths. With the Fixed Gear concept, the bike is also ideal for anyone who values an intense, immediate ride beyond the race track. Within the Schindelhauer range, HEKTOR therefore stands for the sporty track segment, while lines such as Wilhelm, Hannah or Siegfried occupy the comfortable city, trekking and gravel segments. Those seeking the maximum connection to the bike will find it in the Fixed Gear version; those who prefer extra everyday comfort opt for the Singlespeed build.
