Hektor is a track bike with carbon belt drive that is suitable for city use. And fixed gear is the essence of cycling: full control, maximum reduction and maximum efficiency. The particularly stiff frame and special geometry ensure the most direct and agile riding experience of all Schindelhauer bikes.
For Hektor, velodromes and criteriums are the disciplines of choice. The frame is based on a triple-butted aero tube set and is particularly appreciated by Team Schindelhauer Gates for its high rigidity and good handling.

Enable Youtube videosIn luminous dragon-fruit pink, HEKTOR combines purist engineering with a striking look. It is carried by an aero frame of triple-butted aluminium (AL6061-T6) with cleanly smoothed welds and a stiff carbon monocoque fork. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt transmits power from 60 teeth at the front to a 21-tooth sprocket at the rear, running maintenance-free and quiet. The rigidly bolted gear makes cadence the only control: pedalling faster accelerates, applying resistance brakes. The concept is complemented by the flip-flop rear hub, which offers space on its second side for an alternative ratio. On the wheel side, Schindelhauer hubs, Alexrims CX30 rims, Sapim Race spokes and Continental Ultrasport III tyres provide a light, responsive pair of wheels. In addition, internal cable routing, the Belt Port and an integrated seat clamp offer a tidy frame image; Urban Pedals with straps are available as an option.
The namesake is Hector, the legendary warrior of Troy who was regarded in antiquity as the epitome of strength. The name reflects the model's ambition to show the highest level of robustness and sportiness on the track and in everyday life alike. The suffix Fixed Gear stands for the rigid drivetrain with a directly bolted sprocket – the most elemental form of power transmission a bicycle can know.
HEKTOR exists as a pair. Both variants are based on the same aluminium aero frame, the same carbon fork and the same Gates belt. The Fixed Gear version presented here focuses on the most rigid drivetrain and maximum contact with the ground; the Singlespeed version adds a freewheel and a Tektro brake system for extra comfort. Each form thus offers its own appeal – from purist track practice to an everyday-friendly interpretation.
The velodrome and criterium are the classic stages on which HEKTOR unfolds its speed, stiffness and direct belt power. The rigid concept also has its charm in the city: accelerating and braking lie entirely with the rider. Within the Schindelhauer range, HEKTOR takes on the sporty track role, while comfort-oriented lines such as Wilhelm, Hannah or Siegfried fulfil their tasks in the city, trekking and gravel segments. Those seeking maximum closeness to the bike will find it with the Fixed Gear; the Singlespeed version addresses riders who combine everyday life and sport.
