Pletscher – Swiss Bicycle Components in Aluminium

Pletscher AG was founded in 1919 in Switzerland and began as an aluminium die-casting works. The company name derives from the founder's surname. From the start the firm processed metal goods and built up deep expertise in aluminium components. This competence led the company into the bicycle industry at an early stage. Today Pletscher stands for high-quality, durable products carrying the "Swiss Made" label. Over more than a century the business evolved from a foundry into a specialist for bicycle components.

The earliest products were aluminium die-cast parts for various industries. Over time Pletscher specialised in bicycle components such as carriers and kickstands. The rear-mount stand in particular became a hallmark of the brand. Over the decades additional models with different mounting systems and length adjustments were added. The current product range includes stands for various frame attachments and areas of use.

Pletscher products are sold in bicycle shops and online stores in numerous European countries and beyond. The exact number of sales outlets amounts to several hundred dealers worldwide. The company exports its solutions to commuters, leisure riders and touring cyclists in many markets. The focus lies on the European region, with Switzerland serving as the core market.

Among the available stands a choice can be made between different attachment variants and adjustment options. The models differ in length adjustability, the rear-end mounting interface and the material finish. Some stands are designed specifically for certain bicycle brands such as Desiknio, while others fit a broader range of city and trekking bikes. The colour is black for both available models.
