Enable Youtube videosThe Marin Rift Zone Jr brings the DNA of the full-size Rift Zone to a proper full-suspension trail bike designed specifically for younger riders. Instead of compromising on suspension, geometry or components, Marin combines a lightweight aluminum frame with 130 mm of travel and its proven MultiTrac suspension platform. The result is a bike built for real trails, technical descents and increasingly demanding mountain bike adventures.
The Marin Rift Zone Jr is available with 24" and 26" wheels. The right version primarily depends on the rider's height:
| Rift Zone Jr 24" | approx. 123–143 cm |
| Rift Zone Jr 26" | approx. 143–157 cm |
One of the Rift Zone Jr's smartest features is its ability to be converted as the rider grows. The 24" and 26" versions share the same frame, fork and rear shock. Once the 24" setup becomes too small, it can be converted to 26" wheels together with longer cranks, allowing the bike to remain suitable for much longer. The 26" version can also be converted down to 24" if required.
Just like the full-size Rift Zone, the junior model features 130 mm of suspension travel and Marin's MultiTrac rear suspension platform. Up front, an X-Fusion Velvet RLC fork provides 130 mm of travel with adjustable compression and rebound, while a custom-tuned X-Fusion O2 Pro R shock controls the rear suspension. Together, they provide plenty of control, comfort and confidence on demanding trails.
The Rift Zone Jr is equipped much like a full-size mountain bike. Its Shimano 11-speed drivetrain features a wide-range 11-50T cassette for tackling steep climbs, while Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors provide reliable stopping power. Wide 2.4" Vee Tire Co. Flow Snap tires offer plenty of grip and control on loose and technical terrain.
An X-Fusion Manic LC dropper post with 100 mm of travel is also fitted as standard. It allows the saddle to be lowered directly from the handlebar before descents, giving young riders much more freedom of movement and control on technical terrain.
The Marin Rift Zone Jr is therefore much more than a typical kids' mountain bike. It is a genuine full-suspension trail bike with modern geometry, capable suspension and components designed for serious off-road riding. Thanks to its 24"/26" conversion option, it is an especially smart choice for young mountain bikers who want a bike that can stay with them as both their height and riding skills develop.
