The Marin Four Corners 2 is built on a double-butted Series 3 chromoly steel frame featuring biometric geometry for an exceptionally comfortable riding position. The drivetrain is a SRAM Apex 1x12 system with twelve gears, whose cassette's wide 10-52 tooth range easily conquers steep climbs. Matching Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors deliver reliable, precise stopping power even when fully loaded. Lighting is not fitted as standard, which is typical for a pure gravel and touring bike. For bikepacking and extended journeys, however, the bike is fully prepared: numerous mounting points for racks, fenders, lowrider fork mounts and bottle cages allow extensive outfitting with bags and gear. The 44mm wide Vee Tire Rocket Man tubeless tires roll on 27.5-inch wheels in sizes XS and S, or on 28-inch wheels in sizes M through XL, while the frame accommodates tires up to 50mm wide. The package is rounded out by a compact 16-degree flared drop bar and a through-axle system front and rear.

The model name comprises two parts. "Four Corners" refers to the four cardinal directions and embodies the philosophy of setting off in any direction. It symbolizes a vehicle without limits that proves reliable on any terrain. The number "2" denotes the higher-spec variant within the range and marks the step toward a more sophisticated component level.

How This Model Stands Apart From Its Sibling Bikes

Within the Four Corners family, the Model 2 positions itself clearly above the entry-level Four Corners 1. While the latter relies on a Shimano CUES 2x9 drivetrain and mechanical Tektro disc brakes, the Four Corners 2 offers a SRAM Apex 1x12 transmission with a wide gear range and powerful Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes. The double-butted Series 3 frame and full through-axle system distinguish it technically from the Four Corners 1, which uses a 4130 CrMo frame without thru-axles. The tires also show the difference: 44mm rolling width on the tubeless-ready Vee Tire Rocket Man models compared to 45mm on the entry model, while the Four Corners 2 frame allows tires up to 50mm.
