Liix COLOUR BELL BERRIES Klingel / red
Liix COLOUR BELL CARROT Klingel / pastel yellow Liix was founded in 2006 in Cologne by Marcel Jansen. Jansen, considered a pioneer of the cruiser movement in Germany, already ran the Radfieber bicycle shop and was frustrated by the complicated procurement of bike accessories from countless manufacturers. This frustration sparked the idea for his own accessory brand. The name Liix is an invented word, meant to sound short, punchy and international. What began as a small wholesale operation grew into a globally recognised brand with two shops and two workshops in Cologne as well as an additional location in Berlin. Today the family-run business employs around twenty people.
The first products were colourful bicycle bells that stood out from conventional bells with their bright colours and playful designs. Gradually, saddle covers, handlebar grips, bike locks and reflective socks were added. Later, Liix expanded the range to include fabric bags, backpacks and the popular Deko Ducks. New designer collections created in collaboration with artists are released regularly. All products are characterised by urban design, high-quality craftsmanship and a good dose of humour.
Liix products are sold in bicycle shops, concept stores and online retailers throughout Europe and increasingly in North America and Asia. The brand is available in more than twenty countries. The exact number of sales outlets amounts to several thousand dealers. The company's own online shop and brick-and-mortar stores in Cologne and Berlin complement distribution.
For bells, a choice can be made between different sizes, shapes and designs. There are classic metal bells, colourful plastic bells with prints and mini variants for narrow handlebars. The bags and backpacks differ in material, size and design. Many products are available in several colour variants. New motifs and limited editions are added each season.
